Our family business office provides accounting (bill paying, bookkeeping, financial statement preparation, special report preparation), tax services (compliance and planning), and fee only financial planning.
FBO Services is independent and free of conflicts in providing financial, tax, and accounting advice and services.
Our approach to handling financial affairs enables one to organize and conduct one’s personal business as professionally as one would conduct a commercial business. We have the staff, capabilities, and experience to accomplish this.

Joseph W. Roskos
Joe manages FBO Services as it serves the personal financial, accounting, and tax needs of individuals, families, and their related interests. His expertise is in the field of family office management and trust administration. He has extensive experience in tax and accounting matters relating to individuals, trusts, estates, foundations, nonprofits and business entities.
Joe holds a CPA Certification for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, is a member of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, American Academy of Attorney-Certified Public Accountants, and the AICPA Family Office Group.
Prior to founding FBO Services, Joe served as president and chairman of Joseph W. Roskos & Co., the successor to the Pew Family Business office, which he co-founded and operated for 21 years prior to selling the firm to the Bryn Mawr Bank Corporation where he served as Executive Vice President and Head of the Investment and Trust Division.
Prior to its sale, he was sole owner and non-executive chairman of Tenex Systems Inc., a software development firm of 45 personnel that developed, licensed, and maintained accounting and administrative software for secondary schools in 13 states.
In the past, Joe worked in the tax department of Coopers & Lybrand, served as captain and company commander in the United States Army Reserve, and is currently involved in non-profit organizations.
Jeff joined FBO Services as Tax Director in January of 2020. Jeff brings over 40 years of comprehensive experience in taxation and management. As an expert in taxation, Jeff provides leadership and guidance to our clients and staff on tax matters. Additionally, given Jeff’s leadership and management experience he is responsible for developing an advanced tax practice at FBO.
Immediately prior to FBO Services, Jeff served as the Tax Director for a closely held real estate company, including its affiliates and high net worth owners. Jeff previously held a management position at Price Waterhouse where he started his career, and subsequently led tax departments as a partner at large local and international firms.
Jeff is a CPA who has written and taught many continuing education courses. Jeff graduated from Temple University with highest honors.
Joanne S. Nolt
Director, Client Services
Joanne is our most experienced client service professional. She is responsible for the financial matters of the firms more complex clients, including managing many employees in the process.
Joanne worked with Joe Roskos in several capacities in the past, including being employed with him at Coopers & Lybrand as a staff accountant in the audit department, as a tax specialist in the tax department, and at Joseph W. Roskos & Co. as an accountant and manager of the Information Systems department. She has brought her extensive background in accounting and tax to FBO Services, having held senior level positions in a variety of industries, including serving high net worth individuals through the multi-family office model.
Joanne is a graduate of Temple University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Marketing.
Director, Client Service and Administration
Evan joined FBO Services in October 2013 and provides accounting and tax services to individuals, trusts, family partnerships and closely held businesses. With a strong background in public accounting, his focus is on applying commercial accounting and governance practices to wealthy individuals and their related affairs.
Prior to FBO Services, Evan was a Manager at Ernst & Young in NYC. After transferring out of the audit practice, he joined what would ultimately become the Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) practice. Evan performed research and created marketing materials to support the FAAS’s Go-To-Market strategy. Evan also contributed to FAAS’s service delivery by leading numerous high risk FAAS engagements, which typically involved complex technical subject matter and tight deadlines (i.e., restatements, carve-outs, recapitalizations, etc.).
Evan began his career with Smart & Associates in Devon, PA performing Internal Audit services. Evan holds a CPA Certificate for New York State and graduated from Syracuse University with a Master of Science in Accounting.
Manager, Client Services
Prior to joining FBO Services in 2013, Chris held positions in various industries such as health care, non-profit, insurance, and mutual funds. In her current role, Chris is responsible for the preparation of financial statements, cash flows, projections, budgets, and other special projects and ad hoc reports. In addition, she is instrumental in supervising bookkeeping, bill paying, cash receipts and account reconciliation functions.
Chris is a graduate of West Chester University, and earned her Master of Business Administration from St. Joseph’s University.
Manager, Client Services
Eileen joined FBO Services in January 2003 and is valued for her attentiveness to clients and organization in on-boarding new clients with complicated affairs. She is responsible for the preparation of financial statements, cash flows, projections, budgets as well as the supervision of the bookkeeping, bill paying, cash receipts, and account reconciliation functions.
Prior to joining FBO Services, Eileen was an Accounting Manager at Qwest Internet Solutions and a Senior Accountant with GMIS, Inc. Eileen graduated with a degree in Accounting from Montgomery Community College.
Manager, Client Services and Administration
Joe joined FBO Services in August 2003 with experience in accounting and taxes for privately held small businesses. He is responsible for financial statements, cash flows, budgets and payroll, as well as assisting in firm administration.
Prior to joining FBO Services, Joe worked in public accounting at local CPA firms and closely held companies in New York and Pennsylvania. His industry experience includes service companies, insurance agencies and brokerages, and rental and real estate.
Joe is a graduate of Bloomsburg University with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Associate, Client Service
Lorrie joined FBO Services with 13 years’ experience in the Northeast Bradford School District as Assistant to the Business Manager. She brings experience of fund accounting and personnel management, providing accounting expertise for personal financial clients. She is responsible for trust accounting, financial statements, cash flows, and projections.
Lorrie’s post graduate work was in business administration at Lackawanna College.
Associate, Client Service
Liana joined FBO in February 2020 as an accounting and tax associate at FBO. She is responsible for all phases of client accounting including tracking and paying bills, reconciling accounts, keeping general ledgers, creating special reports, and maintaining financial statements. She also provides a variety of administrative services for our tax department, proving to be key in its efficiency and attention to detail.
Liana holds a Master of Business Administration from Eastern University a Bachelor of Science from the University of Valley Forge and has previously held a variety of administrative and management positions.
Associate, Client Service
Darlene comes to FBO Services with 20 years’ experience in the construction industry as an Accounting Manager. She has an extensive background in Federal Government contracting, financial and administrative subcontractor obligations, vendor management, as well as supervising accounting departments. Darlene’s primary responsibilities include bill paying, financial statement preparation, bank and account reconciliations.
Darlene is a graduate of The Catholic University with a bachelor’s degree in Managerial Relations.
Sue McCarty joined FBO Services in 2014 and provides administrative support to the multi-family team and tax department. After graduating from Katharine Gibbs, Sue spent 20+ years in office administration and as a personal assistant. Sue is on our front line as our receptionist and is likely the first voice you will hear when you call. In addition to office management upkeep, Sue provides back office support and organizes happy hour for the company.
